Still not done with any of the rooms or bathrooms completely...but I'm getting there. I'm loving my purple (the light in the picture is terrible) bathroom. More pictures to come.

The coolest bulletin board everrrr

Photobucket
This is one of the latest projects that my sister Amaya and I are working on. It's still not finished (we painted it, but it's still missing some ribbon and laces) but it's going to look awesome in my turquoise office!!
~*~*~*~*~

~working on a project~

Photobucket
Seriously...how many empty walls has a house?....So many!...So I'm going crazy, trying to find the perfect artwork, or pictures, or shelves, or furniture to put on them... so this picture is part of a project that I'm working on, and that I hope is cute when finished!!!...
Also this week, besides the normal, we are getting ready for my sister Elisa's and her family arrival... For those that don't know, she is married and has the most perfect and cute 4 kids ever, and after living in Georgia for many years, my brother in law Jared got a job as a teacher at BYU so they are also moving to Utah!!!!!... I'm so excited!...everything worked out perfectly, and I can't believe that I'm going to be living so close to my sisters!!!...Finally we are all together!...we have been dreaming about this moment, and then, out of the blue, things worked out for Eli and I so we could finally come back to Utah...so yep... very exciting...( at least for us:)
Again, sorry for the lack of blogging....I myself get bored by just looking at my blog...., but still no internet at home...so...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Knob obsession!

Yes....I love them, and since I've moved to Utah I'm looking for them all over the place!...of course I love the Anthropology ones...but they are kind of pricey, specially if you have like 28 cabinets in your kitchen!!!...so any ideas?....have you seen cute and affordable knobs somewhere that I should know off???....Knob obsession aside, I'm still loving being in Utah....we like our ward (well, branch) here, but we are still thinking way too much about our Little Rock ward... we also love living in our beautiful house. I will post some pictures as soon as I have the place decent to show. Sorry if I have been such a slacker with my blog, but remember....I don't have internet yet...., and just so you know, when I have a minute, I look at all of your blogs!!!....

I heart "Bento"

Bentō is a single-portion takeout or home-packed meal common in Japanese cuisine. A traditional "Bento" consists of rice, fish or meat , and one or more pickled or cooked vegetables as a side dish. It is still common for Japanese homemakers to spend considerable time and energy producing an appealing boxed lunch.
"Bento" can be very elaborately arranged. Contests are often held where homemakers can compete for the most aesthetically pleasing arrangements. The food is often decorated to look like people, animals, or characters and items such as flowers and plants. This style of elaborate bento is called "kyaraben"
(from Wikipedia)

how cute is this????
~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*

~Crazy about frames~

Seriously...I think I'm obsessed....I want to have a whole wall full of them with family pictures and vintage ones that I have from my parents and grandparents....
....finally my "girls" from the black apple came....I can't tell you how much I love them!...I'm working of finding perfect frames for the other 4 prints I bought....(sorry about the "sucky" picture...you can totallty see my ugly reflection....)
...and I love these ones that I found for 4 bucks each at TJMaxx...(gotta love that place...:)
also I bought this one at Target....I love this picture of my grandparents......and this frame, I think I got it at the Nordstrom Rack back in Utah...this picture is very special to me...I miss my grandma Candi....
...and more Target ones for our engagement pictures that Jonathan Canlas took...I love them!

Food, food and more Spanish food!!!!

Mike and I gained a few pounds in just three weeks in Spain...., here is the reason:
"Empanada gallega", with tuna fish, veggies and fresh tomatoes

"Calamares fritos" , fried calamary
"Banderillas"
"Queso Manchego" cheese from La Mancha
" Tortilla de patata", or Spanish omelet. I had to post this picture because my grandmas' is the best!! "Tostada con tomate y aceite de oliva ", in the south is very typical to have this kind of toasted bread and eat it with pure olive oil and smashed tomatoes. "Ensalada de merluza" a fancy salad with cod fish"Rape"again, no clue about the traslation, but it's a very tasty kind of fish "Empanada de setas" a fancy empanada with mushroomsand cream
"Paella", rice with seafood and chicken
"Ensaladilla Rusa" a kind of potato salad with veggies, mayonnaise and tuna.
"Boquerones Fritos", don't know the translation, but they are like anchovies but bigger.
"Calamares fritos"...again...they are soo good!
"Arroz con Leche", looks like rice pudding, but tastes so much better!
"Queso con membrillo y nueces" this is a dessert, and it's cheese with "quince" (a sweet fruit) and nuts...pretty tasty!
"Jamón Serrano"...cured ham..I just love it!!!!..I could be eating it all day! "Chorizo Iberico"...the best kind....awesome with bread
"Morcilla de Burgos" yes, I know, there is not a lot of fans of the blood sausage, but you have to try it to realize how good it is!"Ensalada de Tomate y huevo" Tomatoe salad with boiled eggs...and what makes it amazing is the olive oil...."Filetes de vaca empanados con patatas fritas"..This is a classic on my grandma's house...perfectly breaded beef thin steaks with tons of fried in olive oil potatoes..."Pisto"..tons of veggies mixed with tomato sauce.
"Bollos y pastas" some of the sweets you will find in pastry stores in Spain.
"Chocolate con porras" akind of fried dough with the creamiest and thickest chocolate ever...
"Perscaito frito" fried fish
"Lacón" a kind of ham
"Ensalada Mixta" typical spanish salad
"Panchineta" a typical dessert from the nort of Spain..it was so good.. ..

So yeah,....we have eaten all that and more...it's going to be so hard to go back to the protein shakes, the salads and the wheat pasta.....
